At SCG Process we know water boosting and we are proud to represent Grundfos and FLOWSERVE pump solutions. In these applications, we provide a booster pump or system to increase the pressure of water for many different process requirements. Quite often, our booster pumps are used to provide pressure control in municipal or industrial drinking water distribution systems. We also apply our systems in golf course irrigation, industrial process water, wash-down water or anywhere people need a reliable, high-pressure water system.

Grundfos Water Boosting Packages
Grundfos is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of pumps, providing water for commercial buildings, municipal and industrial uses. They feature unique stainless-steel construction and the latest in electronics. Grundfos’ water services pumps cover a wide range of applications including water supply, perimeter dewatering, boiler feed, high pressure booster and VFD controlled booster packages.
Grundfos Boosterpaq
The Boosterpaq line was developed by Grundfos to capture a larger scope and integration responsibility for domestic water booster systems. They had found that in some cases booster systems involving multiple small to medium pumps, as in phased construction or design, were being inefficiently designed and integrated from a control standpoint. Their intention was to provide a turnkey solution that included a motor control centre and controls package, as well as a modularized manifold to manifold mechanical design to offer a “plug and play” approach to the market. The Boosterpaq concept was developed specifically with Grundfos’ CR product line in mind. Their pump control module takes ownership of control of all of the VFD operation including, dry run protection, duty cycling, lead/lag operation and, set-point speed optimization for best efficiency operation. The package provides user defined pressure set point control, the operator tells the system what downstream pressure to maintain and the control system reacts, activating pumps on and off as required from the system as demand changes. This system is easily expandable on account of its modular design, pumps can be added to manifolds at future phases, controls can be re-configured or modified to account for added or subtracted units.
